Was trying to remember a few minor details re dd's birth and knew I would have posted about them so was trawling through my old posts. Then I found the mammoth ones from when I had trouble breastfeeding. Seems so long ago now but I couldn't leave it without saying a heartfelt thankyou to all the MN'ers that helped me, when I was going through 2 of the worst experiences of my life at once (my marriage was going down the pan too).
Think MN alone is the reason that, 4 years on, I'm a competent mother (that's good enough for me, don't need to be perfect) and haven't gone insane, like I think I easily could have. I felt like someone actually cared and I didn't have to go through it alone.
Especially thanks to mears who spent ages talking to me and could easily have been affronted when I decided to switch to formula but was incredibly supportive even then - and still does the same for loads of MN'ers. And also to everyone else that gives up their time to help people with bf'ing problems when they could easily just say 'ask your mw'.
Sorry if this is gushy but, credit where its due.
