We've spent weeks researching and testing breast pumps and bottles in real homes with real families. Read our baby feeding bottle and breast pump reviews to find out which ones were awarded Mumsnet Best.

(2 Posts)Hi everyone, just looking for some advice: I have a 7 week old who is breastfed. She's been exclusively bf for the past 2 weeks - we had initial feeding problems so I had to supplement for a while.
I have accepted some work away from home in 5 weeks time. I'm a freelance performer, and the work is a paid excuse to travel to see family. I'm bringing DH and baby with me (we are both freelance). The first day of the work is what is concerning me - it's a 7 hr day of rehearsals with an am 15 min break, a lunch 1 hr break and a pm 15 min break. Ideally I would want to bring some pumped breastmilk BUT the day before we will be getting an 8 hr ferry over to the work so I don't have adequate storage - or is there a way I can safely store my milk? If not would she at 12 weeks be able to go 1-2 hrs without feeds? Her feeding is erratic atm which is why I'm unsure of what is best. Worst comes to worst DH can give her premade formula but I feel more comfortable with breastmilk if possible. Any advice much appreciated!
Sorry but I don’t feel qualified to advise on that one, I think that you will need to speak to a BFC. Have you got the numbers for the Bfing Helplines?
