Hi
My baby boy is 13 months and always been a poor eater I've been hoping as he gets older he will just become more interested in food but whilst he is with myself or his dad he just isn't interested in anything other than bananas, toast, tea-cakes, porridge and his milk. Whilst at nursery he is eating savoury food, sometimes not all of the meal but at least half each day if not all of it. We've tried eating at the same time, keeping the bowl away from him so he doesn't play with it, letting him play with bowl and food, baby led weaning as he is independent and prefers to do it himself if possible, ive made homecook and bought baby food but now he isn't even willing to try the food just puts his hands up and screams if we manage to get him to try a bit. I'm not sure what else to do now as I'm concerned he isn't getting the nutrients he needs. He has a small bit of milk in the morning after his banana at 6.30 and than goes to nursery and eats porridge and toast at 8.30, If he's up he has fruit at 10.30 but he is mostly having his nap at this time so he than has lunch at 11.30. He has 180ml milk at 13.00. Snack at 3.30 at nursery which is normally a toastie, sandwich or something like that. Comes home at 5 to us and will only eat a little bit of toast or teacake for us. Bedtime milk at 6.30/7. We try and follow his nursery food plan as much as we can. Any ideas would be amazing. Thank you.
