We've spent weeks researching and testing breast pumps and bottles in real homes with real families. Read our baby feeding bottle and breast pump reviews to find out which ones were awarded Mumsnet Best.

(3 Posts)Hi - so my 3 year old just touched raw turkey and then licked her fingers.
Not usually one to worry about these things but she has her bday party on Sunday and I am all stressed due to 3 dc (5,3 and 3mth) and it is Friday!
Anyway she still has breast milk.
Reading about something called HMOs vs pathogens in the gut and it appears that b milk might ward off any potential poisoning- or do you think that it would only be for babies / infants getting most of their nourishment from bm?
If anyone has any interesting articles etc can you send?
Nothing I can do now but I do enjoy reading bf info.
Thanks
I don't think those few drops would contain enough bacteria to do any harm.
I think u r right and I am being a fool. I'll chill out!
