How much formula for 10 month old?

I know that the recommended amount is at least 20 oz formula to which my lo has but she has started having a 7 or 8 oz bottle in the afternoon but then like tonight she has then only had 5 oz before bed.
Will this affect her night time sleeping? She used to have a 9 oz bottle before bed.
I'm confused because she usually has 3 bottles a day but yesterday she would only have her morning and night time bottle and had 9 oz before bed but still woke up in the night.
Should I just be giving her two bottles now instead?
Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated :)

20floz should really be the absolute minimum. Could you do the morning and bedtime bottle and add the other 2floz to her food like in cereal or give her a smaller afternoon bottle?

The 20oz minimum is recommended for babies between 6 to 9 months. The guidance for babies aged 10 months and over is 400mls (13 oz):

"General guidance on feeding infants is found in the Department of Health publication Birth to five (Department of Health, 2011). By 7-9 months of age, infants should be getting significant amounts of nutrients from food, and the amount of formula milk consumed should be around 600ml a day. By 10-12 months of age, the amount of milk consumed should be around 400ml per day as food takes over as the main source of energy and nutrients. Breastfed babies will continue to take the amount of milk they need as they obtain increasing energy from food and it is not necessary to know the volume of this."

Please do not take "food before one is just for fun" mantra seriously. It is a catchy phrase but it is not backed by any research. The 10 month old should have a balanced diet and while the majority (i.e. 50%+) of nutrients may come from milk, solids should form a meaningful part of the diet. 2 bottles should take care of 13oz minimum and you can see how it goes with the third bottle.
