Halfway through feeding, he breaks off, grins at me and signs milk, then snuffles back onto me for some more.

[soppy]

Aww that's so cute!! At what age can they start baby sign? I'm trying it with DS and although he looks delighted with it, he doesn't do any back!

Both boys started signing back when they were about 11mo.

Lact8, I am - feeling very fond of my boys today (not that I'm not always - just thought I'd write about it!).

LOL. He is such a cutie

DS was in bed feeding this morning, climbed out of bed, went to walk out the bedroom door and downstairs, but turned around, came back pointed his finger at me and sternly said "stay dere" before turning around and wandering off!

It's good to have some nice threads on here, I'm having fond thoughts of my lot too, even the dog who has chewed the legs off one of DD's favourite toys and has been in My Bad Books all day!

PMSL VVV! That's like DS1 does - "Don't look, Mummy!" or "Mummy has to go away now" as he wants to do something he KNOWS I don't want him to do

Aww bless him
I am feeling soppy too, ds1 (17 weeks) was feeding today and for the 1st time he looked up at me and smiled and started babbling while still firmly clamped to my boob

Flamesparrow · 01/04/2007 23:06

I get DD handing me food and saying "Don't eat it!!! "

Also falling over something in my room "I hurt myself! You have to tidy your room"

Don't know where she gets these things from

(Along with one of her first full sentences being a response to "Its time to tidy up".... "I can't, I readin" )

Oh, Lact8

Magnolia, I like making DS2 chuckle when he's feeding by tickling his collarbones

He likes putting his nose right onto my boob and snorting - I get some funny looks when I feed him in public

pmsl @ nose in boobs and snorting!!! DS worked out that sucking my chest when he was in the sling made me laugh... got some very odd looks on the days I had him under my coat and he was doing it. I was walking along looking some weird mutant shape laughing shreiking "stop it!!!"

(Less amusing now he tries to slurp with teeth )

Would waking DS up and forcefeeding from norks that may or may not work be wrong???

Report
hunkermunker · 01/04/2007 23:16

Not...wrong...but he might bite you!

When did you stop?

A couple of weeks ago... last feed when he had german measles (so yup, about 2-3 weeks).

Milk still comes out if I try (am I sharing too much now? ). I don't think I want to be feeding properly, but I also hate the idea that I have stopped iyswim.

He doesn't even try (He does play with my nipples when he is sleepy though!!).

Sorry... hijacked your thread

hunkermunker · 01/04/2007 23:21

Nah, not a hijack - if you wanted to try, when he was sleepy would be the best time - or in the bath, maybe?

Oooh not had a bath together in ages Will do that tomorrow evening. He is so sweet feeding in the bath - sort of sits under my arm and looks up at me grinning

My mum gets all emotional when I talk about things like that - b/feeding didn't work out for her and it sort of shows her what she missed

Awwwww, that's fab, Flame! I wondered how you were getting on this afternoon - wonder if it was while you were feeding?
