Breastfed 6 month old green poo

My baby has recently turned 6 months old and yesterday had a slightly greener poop than normal. He's been feed a lot more at night than he used to and I'm starting to get worried he's somehow not getting the fatty milk. His feeds seem to be getting longer than they used to be as well. I feel pretty miserable and really worried. I'm not sure if I should take him to the doctors or if that would be an over reaction as its been just one of theses poos and he hasn't popped today yet so should I wait and see what this poo looks like? Thanks in advance for any help.

Sometimes the poo is green. that is all :)

I'm surprised you've got to 6 months without green poo to be honest!

This happened with DD1 whenshe was 6 months. Turned out to be teething related. It smelt vinegary too. Was due to swallowing excess saliva.

Did you have asparagas yesterday?

Thank you so much for replying! He is teething so maybe that's why? I've been a bit obsessed with looking at images of baby poop on google this morning ... I should probably stop that Blush the poo didn't look mucusy from what I remember when it was fresh. It did explode out his nappy into his clothes though! Shock is it terribly embarrassing to admit I've been trying to compare his poo the images online, frantically trying to find one the exact same colour?! I did eat a spinach wrap yesterday. Argh. I feel so annoyed and guilty with myself.

I've been there clown503! Green poo is caused by all sorts of things- what we eat, teething, how baby feeds, wind. Don't beat yourself up, even if this green poo relates to something you've eaten that's ok! Baby's not poorly. Like pp said you've done well to get to six months for the first one.

I find it's only usually one nappy then back to normal. It might happen every few days/ weeks.
