How do I sterislise tommee tippee nature bottles?

Do I need to take teat out of the white bit that attaches to the bottle to sterilise it? I can't work out how to get the teat back in without touching it everywhere. Hope this makes sense.

my steraliser came with a little pair of tongs (which are pretty shite really...so i tend to make sure i've got clean hands and pull it thru with my fingers - if ds sucks on my hands, what difference does it make!)

It doesn't matter if you touch it. Sterilising is only to kill off milky bacteria and TBH is not strictly necessary anyway. Especially if it's been through the dishwasher.

I was using the box microwave steriliser that came with the TT breastpump, have got the steam steriliser too so will check if there are tongs in it - never thought of that before. Thanks for the responses.

they are designed to be sterilised with the teat already in the ring. Take them apart to wash and then put them back together before sterilising them.

Must have been in too much of a hurry to read the instructions! oops. not tried expressing today so will try sterilising again another day.
