Infant feeding

Baby led weaning

Dd is nearly five months so I am beginning to think about weaning in a month or so.
I've googled blw for basic info but wondered if anyone could give me any top tips? Best foods to start with? Foods to avoid? Etc
I am looking forward to the next phase but am also a bit anxious and want to make sure that I get it right.
Thanks

I'd recommend the Gil rapely blw cookbook, don't bother getting her other blue book as the cookbook has all the relevant info in the introduction, and has lots of nice recipes. I've really enjoyed doing blw

Good luck

Only foods to avoid until one are honey (botulism risk) and whole nuts (choking risk). I started DS with some carrot, some broccoli and some pitta bread.

The first couple of months you're picking it all up off the floor but then they start eating and it's fantastic.

Lots of people do banana, avocado, slices of pear or Apple, potato wedges, scrambled egg, toast cut into soldiers... and they DNA eat your meals as long as they're not too high in salt or sugar.

There's a really good FB group called BLW recipes and I'd also recommend the book as PP did.
