Reducing milk supply-Sage?

Has anyone tried it?
Trying to wean my 16month old and thinking if there's less milk it may be slightly easier.
Can only get capsules (not in UK) so taking 2 in the morning, 2 in the evening. No discernable difference by day 3.

Tried don't offer/don't refuse for a month but made no difference.
Won't take a bottle or dummy if she wants bm.
she wakes at least once a night to feed and I'm just done.

Ok, so think you may need to figure out how you are going to settle her in the night if she wants bfing. Have you got someone to help? If so, get them to have a read of 12 alternatives for the all night nurser.

Have you read Weaning the Older Nursling too? I did the "only feed in one seat, and then never sit there" which helped a bit.

Milk is a lacteal secretion, like a mucous, so if you take a decongestant which is designed to dry up mucous, it will have a fairly hefty impact on your milk production. It's why we tell BFing women not to take, e.g. Sudafed or Lemsip, cold and flu remedies. Anecdotally, as little as one dose can be enough to make your milk dip massively. Worth a try anyway.
