DD is 18 months and has 2 big milk drinks a day...

DS is 6, and dts are 3, they all still have around a pint each a day.

DD drinks at least a pint a day, she prefers milk to anything else for a drink. She's almost 6.
Am also a bit confused about why you'd stop giving milk?

Its very good for them, ds school give them milk each day until the age of 6, though you have to pay if you want them to have it from age 5.

ds has a big cup on waking, two medium cups for snacks and one big cup at bedtime. Why stop?! (apart from the fact that I have no idea how he'll ever be out of nighttime nappies)

ds stopped having a drink of milk with breakfast at about 5
dd is 4 and still has a cup with her breakfast....and has a carton at playgroup too.
Just see it as a drink tbh

Why stop? DH still drinks about 2 glasses of milk a day.

Mine's 3.5 and he still has milk from a glass or mug at breakfast and at bedtime often in a bottle too! The milk doesn't bother me in the slightest - the bottle does a bit, but he doesn't have one when we stay elsewhere or if his cool mates are staying. I know he'll stop asking for it soon enough. But the milk is really good for him. Why would you not want your child to drink milk? Are you perhaps worried if they drink lots of milk they wont be eating other foods properly?

DS is 2.9, has milk first thing (small amount, about 5 oz maybe) and before bed (still large amount - at least 8 oz!).

I still have a hot chocolate made with milk every night and I'm 34...

Why are you worried?

Mine are 2 and 4.5, both have 2 big cups a day, fullfat (they are skinny minnies).
If they like it, keep it up. V good for them.
HV would say try to wean off the actual bottle and onto a cup though...[hmmm]

i think you are lucky-my dd2 is 14 months and i have a hard time getting any milk down her atall now,i just ahve to make sure she has plenty of yoghurts and cheese.

my other 3 stopped having the night time bottles at around 18 months and just drank milk as a normal drink throughout the day.actually,ds1 may have been about 2.5 when he stopped having a night time bottle.

milk is very healthy and i dont think children can have too much.

My DD is just 3 and drinks a big cup of milk at bedtime.

(She is dry at night by the way - otherwise I would have stopped it by now, which is what I had to do with DS)
