Washable breast pads

Can anyone recommend the best ones? SIL said they were rubbish, but I'd love to know if there's good ones out there!

I used a brand called Close, and loved them. They were really soft and comfy, and I found them much more absorbent than the disposable ones. They were about £9 or £10 for a pack of three, and I bought two packs in the end. I didn't really get on with the disposable ones - quite apart from the waste, they seemed to slip around and crumple up very easily, and it felt a bit like wearing a pantyliner in my bra!

Eliza were 6 pairs enough then? When I breastfed dd I would leak everywhere for the first month and went through nursing bras like you wouldn't believe. I've been thinking about washable this time but I don't want to be constantly caught short if I haven't had time for washing.

Itchy well the washing machine was going pretty much constantly anyway!

I used Boots own cotton ones. They were great.

Look online - I found some ones with fleece, bamboo and a leakproof liner. They were comfy and absorbent.

I got my amazing bamboo ones from thenappylady.com. Recommend them to every pregnant woman I know!

I liked little lambs ones. Worked brilliantly for me, much less leaky than disposables and more comfortable. Some smaller/thinner washable ones I had from mothercare or boots (can't remember which) were no use at all though. I would have two packs (10 pairs) on the go and that did me fine, but you can always have a box of disposables in reserve.

I got the Ana Wiz ones on Amazon as they had the best reviews. They're really comfy but I have found myself using them more now that my supply has calmed down and regulated itself. I used mainly disposables to begin with as I had to change them every 5 mins! I definitely had oversupply though.

I used boots own brand but only after first 6 weeks maybe. I leaked mostly at night and would often wake up in a puddle. They are great and like a p.o. said the washing machine on so often they'd be constantly washed and came with a little mesh bag.

Baby due any time and have a box of Lansinoh disposables - sounds like this are gonna be the best option for the first wee while. Then hopefully can move onto washables!

Also a user of Ana Wiz ones here. No complaints from me. I found disposables came unstuck in my bra and were sweaty and uncomfortable.

Another vote for boots own washable ones - only a couple of quid and worked well. Used the disposable ones at first but hated them as irritated my nipples. No problem since switched to washable.

I had avent ones (6 pairs) which I got heavily reduced in the clearance section in Tesco (I think they were down to 80p per 3 pair pack) so I switched from disposables and never looked back. I just bunged them in the washing machine in the whites wash. They had a lacy backing to them which stopped them moving around in my bra.
So much less wasteful.

I got bamboo ones from Amazon. Loved them! Just chuck em in the wash as the washing machine's going every day anyway!

I started off with lamsinoh disposables but found they irritated my skin.
