Just wondering really... I bf dd until she was 17 months old and stopped suddenly (was hospitalised due to hyperemisis but lost the baby) last May.
Dh seems very concerned that almost 15 months later I'm still able to produce milk. Anyone know how long it normally takes to dry up completely?
I bf ds too, until 15 months, but he's 9 now so I really can't remember confused
Thanks!

I BF DS1 for a week and could still squeeze a tiny drop out four years later confused

BF DS2 for seven months (finished two weeks ago) and can now only get a few drops out.

Boobs are weird.

Thanks all! Hopefully I can reassure dh that it's not so strange after all grin

Humans are the only mammals able to lactate without having offspring. I leaked milk waaaay before getting pregnant! So it's pretty normal. It can be an indication of a pituitary gland tumor (benign) causing high prolactin levels, but they are rare.
