Loads of expressed milk - what can I do with it?

So I have expressed loads of milk in preparation for my return to work. Seems my DS (5 months) prefers formula milk to expressed milk while I am away (but would rather not have anything and wait for me to get home).

So I now have 20 packs of expressed milk that has anything between 2 oz - 4 oz in them all frozen in the freezer + I have to express at work to make myself more comfortable (and avoid embarrassing leaks), so this supply is growing! So I was wondering what I can do with it? I was thinking of making some sort of baby food with the milk as a base. Is that a thing? I know there is baby rice, but how much baby rice can one child actually eat?

TIA

Do you have a milk bank at your local hospital who might need it?

Or you could make baby porridge, or use it on other cereal

Thank you for your reply... I have looked into the milk bank idea you suggested and I'm not eligible to donate as I had a blood transfusion 5 years ago. Was a nice idea though.

Looks like I will be using it with cereal...

I was also going to suggest the milk bank but since you've had a transfusion obviously not! I mentioned I was donating to a friend and she sort of joked that she'd love some milk because she wasn't able to BF DC3. I smiled and nothing more was mentioned but I think she might have been serious! Do you know anyone that would like some?

There is a Facebook group called Human Milk 4 Human Babies which helps link mums with excess milk with those who have babies and need breastmilk for whatever reason and aren't eligible for a hospital milk bank. You might be able to help a mum near you through it?

Otherwise you can use it in cooking for your little one but you'd probably never need the amount you'd defrost each time!

You can make it into butter! literally put it in a lidded jar and shake shake shake. I tried it but my arms got tired, but I plan to try again with the glut of the stuff I have in the freezer that my 11 month old will never need. I'm not joking, you can Google it!

I'm sure you could do yoghurt or cottage cheese pretty easily with it too.

...or you could do something more civic with it, as others have suggested.
