Hi ladies

My LO is 12 weeks old and just wont seem to move past 4 ounces of formula. He just about has that! Its driving me nuts. Ive tried changing the teat to the next stage up about 6 weeks ago then 4 weeks ago but he brings up lots of milk ( tommee tippee). I changed to Variflo a month ago and he drinks fine from it but as soon as he hits 3/4 oz he wants to burp and wont take anymore after or wiggles his tongue to stop sucking then screams if you try and give him more. What can i do to increase his milk? He should be having at least 30oz in 24 hours and hes not. Other babies same age and weight are on 7 or 8 ounces and this one is stuck at 4!
Any suggestions/advice appreciated. Thank you! 😘

How frequent are his feeds? Can you feed more often?

He feeds every 3 hrs if he has 4oz but less if he has 3oz

Don't worry about it.

My ds now 14 months went to a maximum amount of 5oz every 4 hours.

No amount of coaxing increased his appetite

Is he gaining weight? Active when awake? Don't fret

Guidelines are that. Just guidelines not rules. Some babies have a bigger appetite than others

I had one of those. I went to four hourly but he still took the same over a 24 hour period.

Just feed more often. Mine was on 2 hourly feeds of 100mls until around 9 months. She just couldn't move beyond that amount. So we fed her often to make sure she was getting enough. I'm a little and often eater myself so I understand!

My 16 month old has only just started having 7-8oz in his bedtime feed. Would never take more than 5
