Screaming with baby food, calm with bottle

My daughter who is 8 months old would start to eat baby food or cereal (baby oatmeal) then suddenly start flipping out with crying and screaming. When we finally get her to finish eating, she suddenly calms down when we give her the bottle. Could it be she's still too used to the formula? Or maybe something else? Could really use advice here :(

She may be really hungry and the food is too slow and hard work to calm her hunger. Could you try giving her a meal sooner? Or give milk as a between meal snack rather than to finish a meal.

We've actually done giving her a bottle while she eats and she flips out when we take it away. And there are times we feed her a bit sooner and she flips out again.

Give milk then feed her little bits and pieces then slowly lower her volume of milk inthe bottle and see how she goes
