Are easy babies making breastfeeding fail?

Starting to think about when dc4 arrives and worrying about how feeding will go.

Dc1 never breastfed, refused so eventually had to give him formula in hospital as they would not let us leave otherwise. Managed to express and mix feed for about a month before supply dwindled. Slept through by 8 wks.

Dc2 exclusive breastfed from the start, lost horrendous amount of weight after birth but fed till about 8 months, when one day I tried feeding him and he just screamed and screamed every time he latched on, I tried all day but he wouldn't feed- that was the end of bf dc2. Slept through from stopping bf.

Dc3 exclusively bf from birth, for about 7 weeks until started to introduce mixed feeding due to seemingly lack of supply. Slept through at 4wks.

Got me wondering whether the fact 2 of them slept through (7-6)from very early on and whether that affected my ability to bf for long.

Do people take anything nowadays to up/increase supply? Should I try to set alarms to wake in the night to feed the next baby if the baby starts sleeping through?

I don't think "easy" babies make bf fail. If you're ebf and fortunate enough to have a good sleeper then your boobs just account for it, or they do once bf is established anyway. When my dd slept well I just found that she fed more frequently during the day so probably still had the same amount over 24 hours IFYSWIM.
I think the things that effect bf are support, early f use, issues like tongue tie and expectations, so if you expect babies to sleep through/go a long time between feeds and then they don't there might be a temptation to use f etc.
