Anyone been prescribed Nutrigimen for their baby?

After weeks of trial and error with various things Dr has prescribed my nearly 10 week old Nutrigimen formula for a suspected allergy/intolerance. Great. Only she won't take more than 3 oz! She guzzled her regular stuff (only to throw up the whole lot) but seems but off by the strong smell of this. Has anyone experienced this issue themselves and have any tips or advice to get her to finish it?

You could try mixing the Nutramigen with her old formula and increase the nutramigen so that after a week the feeds are purely Nutramigen? Obviously you would need to wait 2 weeks after you had started with pure Nutramigen to see if it was making a difference.

I have heard of some mums using vanilla essence or nesquick(sp?) but I would check with your doctor before doing that x

I second the advice to mix the 2 formulas together, and slowly increase the amount of the new one.

We did this recently with my DS as he at first refused to take the new formula (as it smells truly disgusting). for him it took about 3 days to completely change over.
