Arrrrrrrgh how come my DS (nearly 3 months) always wakes to feed at around 3am, no matter what time I feed him before bed?

Mine gave me false hope yesterday by making it till 4am! That should mean he could make it till 7am after that, right?! Well, instead he decided he would only sleep on me as he is massively bunged up. Baby asleep, husband snoring, me.... MNtting wide awake with a baby in me. Nothing more annoying.

On me... In me is another thing entirely...

Count yourselves lucky, mine is 4 months and first feed is midnight. Then 2, then 4, then 5.30, then up at 6.30!

Worlds how do you survive on such little sleep?! I've been in tears the last two days because DS2 has been such a snotbag and kept me awake. I don't think I could survive on the sleep you're getting.

Annoyingly, I've been in bed an hour and a half and can't seem to drop back off to sleep! He's probably going to feed again in another 45 minutes!

That's not bad going for a 3 month old! Mine did from 6pm to 1am and then 5am and now asleep on me. But he is soooooo much better than my first two - they fed every 2 hours without fail for 6 months......Sad

Well he woke again at 4, not to eat - just laughing and waving his arms around! He kept dozing off then waking up laughing again - it was actually adorable Star He's also full of cough and cold and I do think that's contributing to the hunger. Love to you all and your little ones - and here's to a better night tonight Hmm

My ds is. 17 weeks and has woken every 45 mins tonight. Now that is bleary eyes fodder! The 16 week sleep regression can do one! Angry

My DS is 15 weeks, goes down at 7.30 and wakes at 10, 1, 3, and 5... I'm somehow still surviving and functioning...

God knows what it will be like when the sleep progression kicks in Confused

It's normal for babies to wake up and feed at night. I found that once I accepted it as what they do, that there is very little (if anything) that I could do to change it, it is for a finite time in my life and stopped talking about it (I bored even myself after a while) I worried less.
Having said that I still read threads like this Grin
Congratulations on your babies. Enjoy them. And really, if you don't have older children, try to at least rest when they sleep. In the meantime, Grots and I shall power through the day with coffee and toddlers!

Same Lilipot, DD2's sleep bothers me very little as she's a baby and she's not supposed to sleep! I find it much easier to just accept that. I also still find myself reading sleep threads though, it's a hard habit to break Wink.
Anyway, back to pacing the house with DD2 in the sling trying to get her to nap, with DD1 hanging off my legs...

Doje I'm used to it. DD1 still doesn't sleep through at nearly 2 so I haven't had an unbroken nights sleep for 2 years (longer including pregnant insomnia/SPD/multiple night time toilet trips). No choice but to cope!

I shouldn't complain about DS2 really, DS1 was a doze-and-snacker! Didn't go through the night until not long ago (he's 2 1/2) plus he had to be PUT to sleep (swaddling, rocking, shushing, wave sounds etc) DS2 doesn't have any of that.
And you're right Lilipot, I should appreciate what I have and not moan but sometimes I just need to put it out there y'know? Blush
