Infant feeding

She wont feed from the right boob!

DD is 10 months old, she has always had a preference for my left side as when she was small and I forgot which side was next I fed her from this side so my right hand was free to read a book....
Apart frm first thing in the morning she now will only feed from this side for a few minutes and then screams until she is moved over to the other side.
Can i give up on the right hand side and still feed her ok? Or how can I up the milk on that side given that she wont even try to feed from it for more than a few mins?

I have tried expressing but its so boring, I hate it and am not great at it so dont think it would make much difference. Plus DD hates the breast pump and she screams and tries to get it away from me whenever she sees me using it
you can almost see the captions

Aaagh, its stealing my milk, get it off, get it off

evamum, there have been a couple of threads about one sided feeding lately so it might be worth doing a search. It seems that quite a few MNers are lop sided in the boob dept due to this!

I do think that all babies favour one side and your post made me realise how much we as mums may influence this -MNing is certainly easier for me when DD2 is on the left.

When dd2 did this, I gave her the one she was less keen on when she was too sleepy to care. It was just a phase. Good luck!
