I have heard it is the best diet going and its fair to say that I have lost all the weight i gained in pregnancy. DS is 22 days old, and I gained just under 2 stone. I was about 1 - 1.5stone overweight though.

I am VERY hungry but aware that I am a bit overweight, and gain weight easily so while I am eating plenty I wonder if i could do better. Hindered spmewhat in my ability to prep food with a baby attached!

Todays food:

6am Go ahead biscuits, the garibaldi
type. Cuppa tea
10 - Large bowl branflakes, semi skimmed milk sliced banana
1 - cheese and beetroot sandwich on 3 slices seedy bread, crisps. apple.
3.30 dried fruit, 2 choc biscuits. (like penguins)
dinner will be two pork loin steaks grilled, new spuds, veg. Possibly. a cereal bar later.
How does this sound? Am drinking plenty.
type
10 -

I don't know how you're Finding time to eat so well! If I'm honest it seems like a lot. Think you only need an extra 300-500 cals per day (but I might be wrong!)

Ummm it looks very healthy, especially compared to what I'm eating!! (Also ebf). I'd say it was well within your daily calorie allowance. Personally, I find ebf gives me a huge appetite and I get light headed if I'm not eating every few hours. They strictly advise against starting any kind of diet whilst ebf. I'd say you're fine carrying on as you are and maybe trying to keep up some form of exercise, I get a walk in every day.

I think that looks fine. You seem to be eating well.

I'm on a dairy free diet at the moment but usually would have something like you except half the time I'm having to down a pot noodle or toast as baby wants feeding! My mother has been cooking my evening meals which are usually very healthy.

Ibdidnt have the extra cereal bar last night but tbh was quite hungry! Need to investigate some better snacks i think, something more filling and less chocolatey.

DH has the baby while i cook the evening meal and he also tends to sleep for a bit around lunchtime meaning i can makevandceat a sandwich. It doesn't always work like that and toast/cereal is my default then.

Wondering how to manage the transition to not bf as Will need to eat less then!

You need and extra 300 to 500 for milk ... I'm now underweight as I didn't realise how much carrying, walking and night wakes burned! Grin

Your diet looks good.
Make sure you take a multi vit with vit D and B.

Oh I'm not taking a multi vitamin but I am taking Vitamin D.

I am really hungry most days and weight is coming off me, but eating the Carbs that I am would normally make me gain weight.
