Remind me about dropping BFs please

I don't remember it being something I had to think much about with dd1 and fairly sure that she was just on morning and bedtime BFs by the time she was 12 months and I went back to work. Fairly sure I just took a don't offer don't refuse approach and it was no big deal.

Dd2 however. Trickier baby all round and still feeding through the night and up to 3 times in the day. She's 11 months now and I'm back to work in a few weeks time and I can't for the life of me work out how I'll get her off the boob.

She won't take a bottle and hasn't ever has formula. She's also a bit fussy with eating (partly I suspect because she still loves the boob) and I've not expressed since she was tiny because quite frankly she's been a nightmare if I've been away from her for long and it's not me or my nips soothing her. totally aware of the self-made rod for my back

So please remind me how to drop anytime feeds?!?

Watching as I have a milky monster too. Mine isn't big and I worry about calories if she eats less too ... so if she turns her nose up at lunch I bf more.

Same here though suspect that's perpetuating the issue....

I was in the same situation before I went back to work when DD was 10.5months. I was very stressed but she started eating in nursery. I hand expressed to deal with engorgement (still do on long days- shift work). She still loves milk, but manages just fine when I'm not around. shes 14months now, and will feed three times in 24hours if I work 9-5, more like 5 times if I'm off and once if on long days/nights.
