Milk blister and mastitis

I am just coming to the tail end of mastitis and still have an excruitiatingly painful milk blister on my nipple. I've got daktarin cream from the gp but it's been 5 days now of agony when feeding. The gp have me antibiotics and said take them if I'm feverish which I'm not but I pulled out a yellow plug of muck from my nipple yesterday and it's like an open ulcer and so painful. I'm getting sharp shooting pains in both nipples and ive got a cough and cold and generally feel really unwell. I don't have a temp though. I don't want to take antibiotics unnecessarily so I'm unsure what to do. Gp said ive got thrush but I'm not sure it's that. Ds hasn't got it.

He's 16 wks and ebf.

Anyone any experience of this? And any advice on how I should treat this?

Sounds exactly what my best friend had a few months ago! She was miserable with it, doctors kept saying thrush but her ds was fine, they eventually made her an apt to lance the blister thing but 2 days before she just suddenly felt better and it shrank by itself. Sorry not overly helpful but just hold out, it took her 2 weeks but she was so glad she didn't give in x
