Anyone used Breast shells specifically for this purpose?

Have you trieed breast pads? How long have you been bfing? Mine were really sore for a couple of weeks, but they soon toughen up.

I wear breast shells at night & breast pads during the day.

When I had sore nipples, I found washable breast pads really comfy and much kinder to my skin. The disposable ones were horrible. I leaked a lot so put the disposables behind the washables.

Feel your pain I have water based dressing prescribed. Just cut squares and mould it over. Clings and helps heal and stops friction pain.

Yeah I find disposable pads really scratchy and painful (although I've admittedly only ever tried the cheapo ones). Was thinking the shells would eliminate all friction.

Which pads are the most comfortable?

sid77 only about 4 days so far. So I guess I need to expect it to be painful. The actual feeding bit isn't painful but afterwards it is.

I tried a few pads and found Lansinoh ones the best (also less likely to runckle up as they have 2 sticky patches)

I shall check them out, thank you

Yes I agree with the Lansinoh ones. They are almost shaped and not as likely to stick to wounded nipples!
