if she is asleep? my dd needs to have drops into her mouth 4 times a day and after feeds but the only way to get her to sleep is to feed her and then she drops off at the breast. i dont mind waking her in the day but nights will be a nightmare if i have to wake her.
any suggestions?

I think it would be OK to feed her most of what she'd normally take but not completely full, unlatch her, give her the drops and then latch her on again and nurse her to sleep. That's how I got "after feeds" drops into DS when he was little.

if it's just drops i would put them in. just do it slowly.
when ds was small he had a course of antibiotics and the only way i could get them into him was by dropping it in his mouth while he slept

thanks - gave her them tonight but she ended up waking and wanting the breast pretty much straight after which negated the point as the drops are meant to stay in the mouth for as long as poss. will try the slowly, slowly approach in the night!!
