Bedtime bottle

I'd like to introduce a bedtime bottle for EBF DD 6mo. What amount of milk is usual for this?

I've been giving her a bottle in the day to get her used to it but she only takes a couple of oz and gets distracted quite easily.
My reason for wanting to do it is so that DH can put her to bed as well sometimes. At the moment it's only me that does it as a BF settles her and she was refusing bottles point blank until a couple of weeks ago.

There are a couple of evening classes and things I want to start doing (maybe even go out once in a while lol!) as I am with her all the time 24/7 otherwise, however I am also torn as the thought of giving up that bedtime feed where she is all lovely and relaxed and sleepy makes me want to change my mind!

Anyone else do something like this?

If I remember correctly, there's a useful calculator for this on the kellymom website.

this helped me

I introduced exbm from about 5weeks for similar reasons. I felt tied to bedtimes and it drove me mad. Being able to share them really helped me enjoy the ones I did.

Also, I went out! Because I wanted to Grin it's ok to not want to be with your baby all the time.

Thanks Thursday that calculator is great! She does seem to be the 'little and often' type. I now realise that the amount I'll need to give her at bedtime won't be as much as I was thinking.
I've been giving her formula in the bottle as too much exbm was getting tipped down the sink when she was refusing, but if she starts to take it regularly I might start expressing again.
Here's to going out! Wine

I have a mixfed 5 month old who normally has about 4oz in a bottle.
