DS is 4 months and nearly 16lb. Have had dizzy spells that dr thinks could be not eating enough/well enough. Yesterday was a fairly typical day, so does this look like a lot or a little? I think I have a pretty good diet/eat plenty but am now doubting myself:

1 bowl of porridge, cooked with raisins in it (7.30am)
1 peice of toast and marmite (9.30am)
1 chicken and avocado sandwich, salad, crisps (12pm)
1 chocolate brownie (2pm)
Homemade chicken pie and salad, yoghurt, bit of dark chocolate (7.30pm)

Have a toddler too, so am on the go a fair bit.

Your diet looks OK in terms of quantity. Perhaps you could do with little snacks rather than three square meals: could try nuts or a banana mid-morning. And what about drinks - are you having lots of water? Make sure you are not dehydrated.

I definitely needed snacks as well as meals when my LOs were that age (and sometimes extra meals, I have fond memories of the days when I had two breakfasts, or two lunches). Bananas, nuts, M&S oat cookies, those Nakd fruit bars. And agree, you need LOADS of water.

i'm ebfing twins a little older and recognise the dizziness. agree water, and maybe more protein in snacks eg peanut butter instead of marmite, bits of cheese, yoghurt on your porridge. i'm caning plain greek yoghurt and chocolate atm. I try to remember to take a multivitamin as well in case my iron is still a bit low.

Looks ok but it depends on your size and how active you are. Why don't you eat a bit more for a few days and see how you feel. It can still be healthy snacks like dried fruit.

How are your iron levels?

Around growth spurts you might need more, certainly more water, I think there is a 4 month one?

I'm hungry all the time feeding my 5 month old DS.

That looks like a pretty good diet to me! And similar to quantities that I eat/ ate. Could it be an iron deficiency? Do you eat red meat? Could try upping that... Or even a vitamin D deficiency? Have you been taking vit D drops/ tablets? If not you should be (as should every pregnant/ bf'ing woman).
