Mixing different formulas

One mounth old daughter was having SMA formula but for various reasons have changed her to cow and gate. I'm pretty much at the bottom of the tin of SMA and having checked there's 3 scoops of powder left,daughter is having 5oz feeds so needs 5 scoops. I'm a bit of a tight wad and loathe to throw it away unless I absolutely have to. Could I mix the 3 SMA scoops with 2 of the cow and gate or is that asking for trouble?

If you're worried give her a 3 oz bottle followed by a 2 oz one.

This is prob safer in case the scoops are different and in case the powder dissolves slightly differently.
