saunas - bad for breastfeeding?

Does anyone know whether sitting in a sauna for approx. 10-20 minutes a day is bad for breastfeeding?

can't think of any reason why - it wouldn't make the milk boil over, if that's what you're thinking

Is there maybe a risk of dehydration? I know I was thirsty when breastfeeding.

LOL at boiled milk Maybe the heat will sterilise your nipples!

Thanks tiktok and SD. I was worried since there are these warnings posted in the sauna about heart failure, etc. I think the risk would be dehydration, but will be sure to drink more. It does cause you to sweat a lot.

It's probably not a good idea to breastfeed in the sauna though. Even for only 10-20 minutes a day
