Shallow question - speed of boob shrinkage after breastfeeding?!

Hello Ladies -

I finished breastfeeding my baby last week at a year old. My boobs went from a 32D to a 34F whilst pregnant and then a 34FF when BF (introducing solids and the gradual decline in milk feeds made no difference to their massiveness).

I was really, really hoping that they would shrink back rapidly when I stopped BF completely. But so far, 7 days on, no change at all. They do still feel very firm so hopefully there is still some milk in there that has yet to dry up??

How long did it take your boobs to shrink after stopping BF? I am petrified that they are going to stay like this?

I was incredibly self conscious about them pre-pregnancy but if they stay like this, I don't know how I'll cope. I am literally embarrassed at the school gate because I just feel like a pair of walking bosums. It's not a weight thing, I am back to my normal size 10 on bottom half.

So please tell me it took several weeks for you but your boobs did shrink!

I think it took a few weeks for mine to go down in size - you might need to be a bit patient......although dont wish them away as mine ended up with no fullness at all and I was left reminiscing about my 'new mom' boobs!
