How to replace breastfeeds with bottle feeds?

Hello feeding experts! I'd really appreciate some advice. My LO is 5 months old, and until this week has been EBF. I'm going back to work 3 days a week in just over a month, so I've just started on a bit of formula (I don't seem to be able to express anymore, although I could at the beginning, and the type of work I do won't really allow for it anyway). I've been giving her one bottle a day all this week, and she's taken to it really well.

My questions: is it important for my supply that it's the SAME feed that I replace every day? This week I've been a bit haphazard - sometimes doing it during the day, and twice my husband has done the dream feed, with varying success! I'm worried my body will get confused.

Also, I'd like to keep doing 3 breastfeeds a day even when I'm working - morning, bedtime and dream feed. What are my chances?

Any advice really appreciated. Thank you!

At 5 months I'd say you've got a good supply so should be able to do morning/evening and night feeds when at work, with bottles during the day. This is what do now at 10.5 mo.

I would try and keep bottles to the same time; one for supply regulation and 2 to help baby know what's coming next/routine wise.

GL :)

Yes, hadn't really considered the routine aspect of it. Thanks so much.
