Worried about my boobs!

I'm EBF DD who is 5 weeks. We had a few issues with latch/engorgement etc right at the start but basically all going well and she's gaining weight brilliantly.

My issue is that I have multiple blocked ducts, especially on my left breast - maybe five or six lumps. They aren't red or painful or anything, and they're only really noticeable in the morning when my breasts are really full (DD sleeps for quite long stretches at night, feeds much more frequently in the day) - which makes massaging them a bit tricky because they sort of 'disappear' during the day when my boobs are less full/softer.

So they're not causing me any issues at the moment but obviously I'm concerned that I'm setting myself up for future mastitis problems. Anyone got any ideas why I have so many and if it's something I need to worry about? I am trying all the usual self-care things but some of the lumps have been there for weeks - doesn't seem to be any shifting them. Any thoughts/experiences/suggestions gratefully received. Thanks!

Hi, I had real problems with blocked ducts which I could never fully shift. As a last resort I got re-measured for new nursing bras and vests by a specialist fitting service and honestly, the difference was incredible! They literally cleared up overnight. M&S had measured me as 34D but the bra was too high up my back apparently and the wrong cup size. I was fitted as a 32DD which probably doesn't sound all that different but feels so comfortable. Might be worth a shot?

Second the bra advice. Think about where the blocked ducts are in relation to how you sleep, where your arm is, seams in nightwear etc. I also used to jump in the shower and hand express if ds hadn't cleared the lump in his first morning feed.
