Any La Leche League Leaders here?

There isn't a LLL group in my city. I called the contact for my county, but no reply.

I am interested in setting up a group to help normalise bfing. DS is just over 1 now and he has been ebf. The number of mums that I know that are still bfing DCs of the same age is rapidly dwindling.

Ooh. What'sNorwich like?

Dh keen to move from London and that's on his list.

Sorry to hijack. I don't k ow how you set up a group.
But you could contact lll direct
And every nhs trust has a feeding adviser lead. Your HV should be able to put you in touch with them to talk about setting up a group.
Also try your local children's ce tre. This is where many groups are sited. They have quite a bit of budgeting power.

Try contacting your nearest LLL Leader, they should be able to give you all the details you need. Good luck, it's brilliant that you want to support other BF mothers :)

Forgot to say, you can try any Leader if you're having no joy with the nearest one- maybe she's on holiday or something. Try Suffolk or Cambridgeshire maybe?

Hi emily I have lived in Norwich for over a year and really like it. We moved from Surrey. We live in the city centre. It's very charming, cobbled streets, lots of lovely independent shops too.

Thanks for the advice about the children's centres. There is information about bf at the clinics, but I never see anyone doing it. I was asked to be a demo bf mum for some pg mums about 6 months ago. I'want to do my bit to say, it's ok to bf, you don't have to stop cos "no one else" is bfing their babies past x weeks/months/years. LLL is always mentioned as a port of call, so it seems like the right thing to do.
