Getting desperate, need a solution

i know there are lots of 'won't take a bottle' threads, but I really need some ideas. Despite spending a fortune on a million types of bottle & trying all the usual tricks my now 3 month old will not drink from a bottle. I was desperate to stop bf altogether, now I'd just be happy with a break every now and again. I optimistically booked theatre tickets for myself and my youngest, thinking I couldn't possible have another bottle refuser! But here we go again. The show is in a couple of weeks & I really want to go. With Travel etc I need to know she'll be ok for 3-4 hours. She feeds about 2 hourly at the moment.

Long story short....when can we try cup?! I need a solution before I go mad.

I know you say you've tried everything but just in case....Have you tried Medela Calma teat? expensive, but I found very much worth it....it emulates the slow suck and draw of breastfeeding and is quite rigid as opposed to floppy (dummy type) teat. Im afraid i dont have aything original to add though. Hope you find a solution.

Hello, my daughter now 4 months had latch problems first week so had to take a bottle but because her mouth was so tiny we used the small nuk orthadontic teats like they do in hospital and she is now happily breastfed with a top up at last feed still with the nuk bottles. We tried the Avent bottles we'd bought before she was born and she was revolted by them! So big and hard...have you tried the nuk ones?

Also I know it sounds odd but what about syringe if its only the odd feed? They do this in hospital in the first week when babies won't latch- obviously you'd need a slightly larger syringe, or use a tiny plastic cup (like a mouthwash lid) which is also a technique they use in hospital to avoid nipple confusion.

We have tried tommee Tippee, mam, Nuk and breastflow. We haven't tried medela but am beginning to feel like she's just not going to get it & when do I stop spending money and find another solution.

I don't enjoy bf and so desperately wanted to mix feed but it's not happening. It really gets me down but as far as I can see there's no way out.

Thanks for replies.
