No, only some are obvious.

list of symptoms here

You will get loads of answers saying it is silent reflux, which of course it could be, but often, tongue and lip ties can be the underlying cause of reflux.

Thanks very much fr your help. He has lots of the symptoms but not all. Is gp first best? Or shall I speak with hv or mw team?

He slept a little better last night but had bad wind from 4am and is uncomfortable this morning. He is also an infrequent pooer which I am sure adds to the equation!

how do you knwo it is wind? Arching back is more refluxy (possibly silent). dd had this (and also posterior-missed-multiple-times tongue tie). Gp probably, though not necessarily, will not take the tt thing seriously. Lactation consultants or someone at breastfeeding group usually have more sense but not always. Think 'milk matters' is a good site for helping you find best person in your area. Though you would have often piicked up on reflux sooner. Wind pain is drawing legs up.
tilt cot at head end and hold up 30 mins (yes 30!) after feeds as a start.

Thanks, I assumed because he goes rigid as a plank then arches v v strongly, which is normally but not always followed by farting that it was wind related, not reflux. I've never had a baby with reflux so had never thought of that.

I have a gp app next week and will see HV (who may have a bf/lactation expert) on Monday.

Off to look at silent reflux now!

Bed is tilted a little but not 30 degrees. I'll stack the books higher!

dd used t grunt with it and be v. restless in morning hours and go stiff during and after feeds, wanting to be upright.
Wind can still be a problem in refluxy babies and they seem to take much longer to burp and often do more than one. We still obsessively burp her in the night at 9 months though probably not actually necesary.

We got babybjorn sling so she didn't have to have her legs bent in wrap/other slings. Also an upright bouncer e.g. baby bjorn or mothercare have a spotty one. and a beanbag- but think your baby is probably too old and wriggly for that now.
