Thanks for this. We are FF and another cause of guilt was if I bf DS would get my immunity to whooping cough. Glad it makes no difference.
He is about to have his 4 month jab and I'll be happier once that is done.

It will pass protection on to the newborn for the first few weeks of life - that's why pregnant women are now being offered it - but it's not through breastfeeding, it's through the vaccine crossing the placenta.

No, they don't pass through breastmilk. It's the antibodies that you make yourself (there are different subtypes of antibodies) that pass through your milk and onto baby.
