Feeding a 14 month old while pregnant, just started hurting...is this common? Also, supply changing?

As per the title really, I'm feeding my 14 month old (normally only twice a day now) and am about 12 weeks pregnant. Just recently it has started being quite painful at the start, when she latches on...enough to make me wince and inhale and I'm not sure why? Could it be because I'm pregnant, or is it cause her latch isn't quite right now she has lots of teeth?

I had wondered whether this is just what it is like feeding a baby with teeth? Is there anything I can do about it? I don't mind and will continue to feed her anyway, I just wondered.

I've also noticed that sometimes she doesn't seem to be getting as much, there will be 4 or 5 sucks before a swallow...if that makes sense? Is that normal at her age or is my supply drying up?

Hi ninky and congratulations on your pregnancy.
I'm 14 weeks pg and feeding 17mo DD, though only once a day now.
From about 8 weeks pg, it became quite sore when DD latched on. I think this is fairly common though not inevitable. The pain is starting to ease off now, but obviously everybody's different.

I'm fairly certain I have reduced supply. Again I believe this is common in pg, but some women do go through a pg with no drop in supply.

I bought a book 'adventures in tandem nursing' from LLL. I think you can get it elsewhere but somebody on here told me it's cheaper from LLL.

Also please do come and join us on the breastfeeding while pregnant thread. It's on the breast and bottle feeding forum, called 'is there a BFing while pg thread already?' or similar title. I'm just off to post on it so will bump for you.
