After finishing breastfeeding when does milk supply stop completely?

It takes a long time and never totally dries up, I think. My DD is 6, I stopped over 3 years ago and sometimes I still get the sensation of let-down or even boobs that feel slightly engorged. My mum last BF a baby 22 years ago and she gets it sometimes too!

Not sure if extended BF has much to do with this, as I think you reach maximum milk production from about 6 months of BF.

Did you know that you can relactate if you have BF before just by pumping and nipple stimulation no additional hormones needed.
