Green poo

DS is 13 weeks and EBF. He still feeds very frequently. Most of his poos are the normal v runny mustardy/seedy type, but he has started having one bright green one most days, usually later in the day.The other 3/4 are still the same. It started when he had cold, so I thought it was that, but it's continued. Should I be worried about too much foremilk? I have oversupply/fast let down, so have been block feeding. He's still quite windy though.

Have you been eating spinach? That gives a very dramatic effect!

Mine was similar and I think it was also due to fast let down/ oversupply (btw I found it ever so easy to collect milk from the "other" boob when feeding and gave that to the milk bank - if you have oversupply it might be worth considering).

We had it a lot but my daughter was fine. I think I did try block feeding but as she was growing ok I tried not to worry too much (after the initial panic/ google that is). I think kellymom is a fairly good bf website but can't remember if it mentions green poo or not.

Thanks. I had a tiny bit of spinach over a week ago, so don't think thst can be it.

I think it could be teething related, he's been dribbling and chewing a lot. He's growing fine, too much if anything!

I'm going to look into milk banking, seems a shame to waste it!

I asked the midwife yesterday about green poo and she said as long as there isn't blood in it, it will be fine!

Green poo in a healthy thriving baby is not an issue at all - many babies have this.

I was told it was wind in the tum that oxidises the poo.
DS1 did a spectacular projectile green poo all over my white linen skirt in the baby changing in Ikea once, 'twas one of those glamorous moments indeed

wind oxydising poo? how would that work? what does it mean? oxydising turns metal rusty! honestly that sounds very odd to me.
