What foodstuffs are you addicted to whilst breastfeeding?

I seriously cannot get enough Cadbury's chocolate. It has to be Cadbury's. Normally find it very sickly but OMG I reckon I could actually inhale it at the moment.

DS1 has unsealed a huge tin of Heroes that I'd bought for Xmas and DH suggested just sellotaping them back up but I didn't quite hear him so now I will have to eat them all.

Me too Grin I wish I'd bought shares before DD2 was born. I get through loads of the stuff. Probably an unhealthy amount, I think all my teeth will fall out before DD2 self weans.

Chocolate (any kind except white, yuk) but especially Cadbury's - must be the milk content Grin
Cake - and so much the better if it has chocolate in some form
Biscuits - esp chocolate

There's a theme here - although tbf I used to eat these by the truckload pre-DS. Size 8 will be forever beyond my grasp Sad

Teehee! Glad it's not just me. Froggos are my absolute favourite needs to grow up and insist upon Hotel Chocolat

cheaptrick you can get chocolate poptarts? That is the kind of thing I will regret knowing, 20 packets in...

Is there a theory behind it, I wonder? Thought it might be the sugar content, as breastmilk has a lot of sugar in doesn't it? relaxes contentedly in the certain knowledge that Dairy Milk consumption is absolutely VITAL to breastfeeding

I've read various theories about craving high-calorie food to replace calories used in BF but I only crave chocolate, not sweets or greasy food. I've still been losing weight despite high chocolate consumption but I'm tandem feeding so using a lot of energy!

Hmm, you've just reminded me that I'm going to be driving past the Hotel Chocolat factory shop on Saturday...

Co-op butter flapjack. Ate so much of it that DH is convinced that is what DS is made from. Morning sickness put me off chocolate so badly it took a long while to venture back!

All of it.

But I am being fairly sensible and am actually the lightest I have been for a long time.

Saying that, I have just scoffed a whole pack of smoked salmon trimmings. YUM

With DC1 I was troughing a box of cashew popcorn at 1000cal a box per day and not putting on weight. Wish I could do that now.

Well, I ate 4 Wispas yesterday. Blush

I am somehow managing to still slowly lose weight, but I do walk lots too. I try to eat as healthily as I can, but I really can't keep off Wispas and carrot cake too.

Here's me saying that I am trying to be sensible. I have just remembered the multipack of Frazzles that I scoffed in one sitting yesterday.

Mind you, this is nothing compared to scoffing an ENTIRE tin of condensed milk when pregnant. 1500 calories!! I literally couldn't stop Blush
