Dieting and BFing

DS is 6m old. I need to lose weight, and I've read a lot about the Dukan diet and pig2twig. Is it ok to do one of those whilst feeding?

I have no idea what that is. I go for eating sensibly and exercising. I suspect that if starving women can breastfeed then dieting ones can too, no matter what they say. Of course I could be wrong, I have no evidence for that.
