I had lots of bf problems so EE for 5.5 months. Between 5.5 and 6 months I weaned my DD onto Aptimel stage 1. She developed mild eczema when she switched to FF but the GP said it was v mild and would clear up (which is did in about 3 days).

I started solids at 6 months but she is a spoon refuser so have switched to BLW. Lots of food is played with but nothing eaten as yet at 6.5 months. Is there any benefit of moving her onto stage 3 milk. Am keen not to in case her eczema flares up but if it offers better nutrition for a growing baby then I will.

Any advice gratefully recieved.

I would avoid it for nowAbe99. It is still early days in terms of weaning. She will still be taking enough milk to give her nutrition. She is just experimenting and finding out about food so don't be too worried that not much is going in, thats just the way it goes with BLW. The stage 3 milk has a very high iron content and may leave her very constipated which is just awful for them. Stick with the BLW, food will eventually start going in! Leave spoons by her as well, incase she gets adventurous, if you would prefer that. The fact that she isn;t eating much is nothing to worry about at this stage of weaning, so just keep doing what you are doing. Stear clear of that stage 3 milk! xxx
