I posted a thread a while back about my conflict about keeping feeding DS and maybe stopping in case it was interfering with conceiving no2 (a wee bit broody, me ). see here We're now on month 11 ttc.
In the end, I decided not to feed DS first thing in the morning, as this is quite close to the period when prolactin levels are highest. (seemed logical after googling). I started this last Monday.
I may not really have thought it through that well as it was his only 'proper' fed of the day and he now seems to be kind of losing interest. Even at naptime when he quite liked a sleepy feed he has about 5 sucks each side then goes to sleep.
I also failed to consider that I'd have to stop the occasional night feeds too, as it would make not doing it in the morning a bit pointless - he chose this week to wake up twice in a row after sleeping fine for ages of course. I did settle him ok with just a drink of water and cuddles for ages, but it felt kind of wrong not to offer him the comfort, so I have been doubting myself a bit.
I am also a bit paranoid about getting sore boobs with the lack of much feeding at all, they have been a bit achy and heavy off and on.
In your experience will he probably just bother less and less, or is there a chance he'll decide he likes it again? He does still ask for mummy milk a bit, but sometimes loses interest by the time I get a 'milk' out for him!
I'm just a bit guilty at making the decision for him, although maybe I should just see what happens, as he isn't miserable and begging for a feed or anything.
Thanks in advance if you followed that ramble , any tips on managing this welcome.
