Mixing refrigerated and frozen expressed milk - have I just wasted a batch?

Hi all -

Am heading out for a couple of hours later so leaving DH with a bottle of EBM as will miss the bedtime feed for sure. I had taken out some milk from the freezer last night and had a batch I expressed yesterday. Stupidly - I took the stuff out of the freezer 24 hours before I planned for it to be given to DS, not 24 hours before I intended to make up the bottle (and our fridge is super cold!) so it was still pretty solid (not ice but not slush either). Without thinking I just tipped the two milks into the bottle and plonked it back in the fridge for DH to use later. Have I just wasted the whole lot? Was sure I had read somewhere not to mix frozen & "fresh" but despite several google attempts I can't find a definitive answer. Appreciate your wisdom on this..and am preparing to hear the bad news!

It's probably fine - you can take it out of the freezer to thaw in the fridge 12 hours before you want it, and then it will stay fresh for 24 hours after that. It's also probably fine for you to mix the frozen and fresh
