Hi, I've been breastfeeding dc3 for 6 weeks and all has been going well so far... but following some intense growth spurt cluster feeding over the weekend every things gone tits up Grin

I think we have thrush, I have stabbing pains and very pink, slightly itchy nips and dc has a white tongue. All of these symptoms I've found on Dr Google but I also have very achey armpits and a kind of dragging sensations high on my chest that feels heavy. What do you think this is??

I'm off to the real doctor today but I wanted to ask you ladies who most likely have a far superior knowledge of the things than my male GP!

Thank you

By no means a fount of all bf knowledge, but i had lumps in my armpits when my milk came in and for a while after, they eventually went with some massage and warm showers. Also now your milk supply is becoming more settled it may be worth getting yourself measured for awell fitting bra. HAd horrendous back ache across my shoulder blades and front of chest and got remeasured from a 34 E to a 32G. Much less pain now. Hope somone with more knowledge comes along soon.

Thanks flower I wondered if it might be the weight of my norks making me ache! Doc has given me cream for thrush but nothing for dc which seems odd now I think about it, surely we'll just pass it back and forth??

Yes, you're right mamaganoush (loving the name!).

You may need to take this info back to the GPs.
