Expressed milk - room temperature or straight from fridge?

It's probably a silly question but what's the best temperature for giving expressed milk? If you've stored it in the fridge, do you take it out beforehand and let it warm up to room temperature? Is microwaving it for few seconds a no-no?

Hoping to give first expressed bottle tomorrow and want to boost my chances!

Thanks

It doesn't really matter, it depends very much on you dc's preference.

Some babies will take it straight from the fridge.

Some babies will take it at rm temp.

Some will only have it warm (like it is from mummy)

It's very much a matter of 'try it and see' :)

IME for a first time, I would warm it slightly. Not in a microwave, but drop the bottle into a jug of boiled water for a few minutes (staight out of the fridge) then test the temp on your arm beforehand. You want it to be as similar to your own milk as possible (ie body temp)

Good luck :)

Oh and my Dc's would always take it at rm temp, but they never thought it was as good as the real thing ;)
