Infant feeding

Are my boobs going to remain MASSIVE during bf?

Hi all,

Am bf dd2 who's 6wks, so far I've had no major problems, latch good, baby put on weight from the off, and puts on a lb a week ever since, so I'm guessing I have a pretty robust supply.

However, my boobs are bloody massive! I must be about a 34h, probably bigger. On a petite frame it looks ridiculous, my back is killing, and bras are a nightmare to find. Will my boobs shrink as bf is established and milk supply calms down? I appreciate it's a minor issue compared to others on here btw.

Mine went smaller again after I'd been feeding for a while. With DD I was a 34K to start with but went back to 34GG after 18months (slow change). This time I didn't get so big only a 36J am deffantly small 8months in but in seriouse need of new bras so don't know my exact size.

Well I'm 4 1/2 months in and still about a 34h. Also on a small frame and I hate it, really hoping they might calm down as I'd really like to feed well past a year. It also seems to make it quite difficult to feed unless I have all my pillows expertly positioned.

Underwired maternity bras in your size! I started a 32f and ended up a 34hh, they never went down until I stopped feeding, 22 months later, then fell pregnant the very next month Hmm. I've ordered the bra above in the hope it will fit me. The cups are very generous and the backs a bit small. So got to go, hope that helps.

So as I suspected, I'm landed with massive jugs for the duration then.

Thanks for link, I've bought one, can't wait til it arrives.

Am planning on feeding for a year, and can't bear the thought of walking the streets with huge saggy boobs for that length of time. I have oversupply and a huge baby, so am hoping they settle to a more manageable size before long.

Fullcream- I also find it quite hard to position dd without my cushion, it makes public feeding difficult too doesn't it, as you can't rest baby on same arm and feed from same boob, cradle hold I think it is.

Thanks all for your replies.

I went back to my pre-pregnancy size after about 6 months with DD1 and after about 10 weeks with DD2. You may not have monster norks for the whole time. Best of luck!

I'm still a 36G after 7 months of breastfeeding. Was a C before pregnancy, but my boobs always go crazy in pregnancy.

Stopped breastfeeding ds about a month ago and boobs shrunk dramatically within a fortnight! Got myself measured in M&S and have gone from 42d to 36d in literally 2 weeks. So don't worry - enormous boobs DO shrink again! Over 2 pregnancies and breastfeeding 2 babies I have gone from 36a, up to a whopping 44E, back down to 38b, up again to 42d and now down to 36d. My underwear drawer is bursting at the seams!
