This is my 3rd DC and I had supply problems for the first 2. This time I feel I have plenty of milk and there are several wet and dirty nappies every day, but DD sleeps A LOT! She can go 4 to 5 hours without waking.
I don't know if it's normal as the other 2 would hardly go 2 hours without a feed.
Shall I go and see someone?

This is unusual, maternelle, but not necessarily something 'wrong'.

Best thing is to have her weight checked so you have another piece of the jigsaw to check health and growth. She can also be held skin to skin/very close to you for as much of the day and night as poss so you can respond v. quickly to early feeding cues. Sometimes, sleepy babies make these feeding cues, they get unnoticed, and they drop back to sleep again.

Thanks Tiktok. I was hoping you would see this. She sleeps next to me and only wakes up twice during the night, every 3/4 hours.
I have just weighed her (with a new set of scales) and she doesn't seem to have put much weight on in the past 3 days (20g) but these are different scales, so I'll keep monitoring her weight every day.
I will keep her skin to skin today.

With my DD, we had to wake her every 2-3 hours during the day (3-4 hours at night) to get enough feeds into her.

I think I will start waking her up during the day now. Am starting to doubt my supply now...

Don't panic, just feed more!

Please don't weigh her every day - this is rarely necessary and can be misleading. It's certainly anxiety-making.

You dont need to wake her. Just keep her close and offer the breast when she stirs.

Today she more or less slept all day until about 6.30 and was then awake for 2 hours. We did skin to skin for a few hours this PM and she fed every 2 hours.

When she was awake, she wanted to suckle. I have kept her on my lap all day.
She did have a few wet and dirty nappies, and seemed fine when awake.
I have an appointment with a paediatrician who is also a BF specialist but it's not until Wednesday next week. Will try and do the same as today until then.
