Can I pump, store it in the fridge, add to it later today, then freeze?

Astonishingly I appear to be having a small amount off success pumping (about 1.5oz. Try to contain yourself). I'm pumping straight into a pump & save bag, and I'm wondering if I can store the bag in the fridge and add to it if I get a chance to pump again this afternoon, then freeze it this evening. Or do I need to freeze each bit as soon as it's pumped? Sorry for foolish question, never had much joy pumping with DS1 so know nothing.

I'd also like to boast about my multi-tasking skills. I have the medela pump on one boob, DS on the other, and still have a finger free for typing

Ooh am impressed by your skills.

I used to do this and will be again. After about 3 months I found out I could wash and sterilise the pump once a day too, and stored in a ziploc bag in fridge between uses.

God I wish I'd known that about the pump. Mine used to get sterilised 4-5 times a day and it was an Avent one with loads of parts!. But yes I always used to have a pot in the fridge that I added to throughout the day and then froze in the evening.

Glad to see this as I'm also managing to get tiddly amounts each time which I've been adding to then using the following day. Very impressed by your multi-tasking Hopefully - I've got a mini-Medela pump and I have to hold onto it or it falls off. Can't imagine how I'd get on with a double pump as I'd have no hands free to switch it on and off .

I use a milk collecting shell thing during feeds and pour it into a bottle throughout the day then pop into a bag and freeze at the end of the day. I just assumed this was okay

I was told that if you are adding batches of milk together to get them both to same temperature first, ie put second lot in fridge until cool and then add to first that is already cold.
