My 9-month -old dd has had phases of sleeping through the night, but at the moment wakes once, twice or three times (for example lst night woke at 9.30pm, 11.30pm and 4.40am) and I feed her, and she goes straight back to sleep. Dh and I booked tickets before she was born to go to see Peter Kay, optimistic that baby would be sleeping through at the 9-month stage (she is our third, and niether of the other two did, so goodness knows why we were deluding ourselves!! All along I've thought 'leave it until nearer the time' as she has good phases and bad phases with regards sleeping. We've made it out a couple of times since she was born, but only locally with my Mum babysitting, and she would have phoned us to get us to come home if she had woken.
Now I've got just over a week to get things sorted to leave her from early evening (concert is about an hour's drive away) until I'm not sure what time at night. I've never expressed before (well, tried it with dd#1 so I know I can do it, but she didn't take to it, and as I didn't 'need' to never bothered again). I have a steriliser, glass storage bottles, a tommy tippee bottle with a 6m+ teat. Should I try expressing and get dh to do some feeds? Or would you try to wean her off night feeds this week, or shall we just sell the tickets? (Anyone want two LG Arena tickets for Peter Kay for next week??!!). I'll read all thoughts on this carefully as although I've bf three children over the last four years I've never left them and I'm sure it is possible to do so!! Thanks.
